The Lithium Skies Forum is provided for the mutual enjoyment of the community. We encourage all members of the community to take an active role in keeping the community lively and fun but also to conduct themselves appropriately by respecting other members and using basic common sense and online etiquette.
These rules were written in order to keep the forums a fun place to post and express ideas, with a relaxed and open attitude. Although these rules are written, it should be noted that the intent of the rules will be enforced, the exact wording is simply the manner of communicating that intent.

Lithium Skies Forum Rules
The internet is not a lawless place. Therefore any action performed here should be legal, both in the user's and the forum's country legislation. All posts supporting crime, being either explanatory on how to perform them, or how you performed them, are off-limits. This includes, but is not limited to, theft, robbery and exchange of warez.
Explicit material like Pornography and Warez does get the forum into trouble and therefor the rules these are strict, and received a seperate section in this ruleset.
Although the previous paragraphs should already cover it, we list the following explicit rules:
Giving out personal information of other forum users without their permission will not be tolerated and will be dealt with harshly.
Do not engage in any form of harassment or offensive behavior, including but not limited to the posting of communications, pictures, videos or audio recordings which contain libelous, slanderous, abusive or defamatory statements, or racist, pornographic, obscene, or offensive language or images. This includes discrimination, defined as Treatment or consideration based on class or category rather than individual merit; partiality or prejudice (from: The American Heritage(R) Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition)
General Posting Rules
Be nice to each other. Be social. Show that mankind has really entered the third millenium. So again, the list below is not extensive, it should be considered the limit. A post within the below rules but beyond normal decency will have the full attention of the mod/admin Team and may still be reason for us to take action upon.
This is an English Speaking Forum, please speak English unless otherwise warranted.
Threads or posts made to personally attack others (forum members/groups) will be closed/ removed, if you continue making similar threads, you will be banned.
Being personally attacked does not give you the right to counter attack; the previously stated rule will be applied. Don't give us that "He started She started" nonsense.
No spamming, of course.
Spamming: Useless posts, posts repeating one thing repetitively, threads/topics with the title "Orange" or something useless like that. Spamming will earn you a warning, unless it is proven accidental. (Such as you didn't know that another topic was already created about what you wished to talk about.)
Excessive use of foul language will merit a ban, length of ban is dependant on severity but will not be longer than 1 month.
Annoying links will not be tolerated at any level. This includes but is not limited to: "You are gay/an idiot" / "brain eating zombie" / "you are ___'s ho/bitch" type links. Posting these will earn you a mandatory 3 day minimum ban, longer for a second infraction.
If your thread is deleted do not start another thread about it. Contact a Moderator of the forum your thread was in, or an Administrator.
If you have a problem with a Moderator please contact an Administrator posting a thread about any problems you have regarding a member of the Moderation Team will be disregarded, and removed.
General PM Rules
Although we tell the users if they must fight, to take it to PM, this does not mean that PM is without rules. Making threats by PM is still a no-no. Sexual harassment by PM is a no-no. Violation of PM rules will lead to a forum ban temporary or permanent.
Since the administration has no way to look over your shoulder, a person feeling harassed must make his/her Inbox accessible to a member of the Administration by supplying the Admin with a temporary password. It will be verified whether harassments have been made on boths sides
Avatar/Banner Rules:
Do not put up an avatar/banner with any offending material. This includes pornography, animal violence, ethnic slurrs, and anything offending somebodies sexuality. (i.e., gay, lesbian, biseuxal, straight, etc.)
If you do, it will be taken off and you will be warned. If you put it back up, you will earn a ban. (See Banning Below.) If, when your ban comes off, you continue with the offending pictures, your ban will become permanent.
Banning
Any user who breaks the rules will be dealt with on an individual basis based on the severity of their infraction. The duration of the ban is initially set by the admin placing the ban. After discussion of the whole admin team, if the Admin team judges the duration of the ban does not reflect the severity of the violation, it will be adjusted (either shortening or extending the ban). The user will be informed of this change in ban duration. The forum Moderation Team is not obliged to give you "another chance". If you were not informed of the length of the ban and wish to know the full duration of your ban you may ask a Moderator or Administrator. The ban duration will be communicated internally so each Moderator or Admin can supply the information.
If you are banned do not re-register. Contact a Mod/Admin via IM or E-Mail. Re-registering will increase the duration of your ban by 1 week. After the first 2 re-registrations, new registrations will earn extra months rather than weeks.
Accounts used for re-registration will be deleted, only a users primary account will be unbanned.
Warnings:
If necessary, you will be warned a maximum of three times. If you are warned, it will be marked in your status by a moderator or administrator. A warning stays for one week. After a week, your warning goes away. If you use this process to your advantage in a negative manner, it will be recognized and you will be banned.
Three warnings equal one three-day ban.

Lithium Skies Forum Pornography Rules
For purposes of clarification the word "pornography" will be defined here:
PORNOGRAPHY:
(n) /Poornografy/
1. Still or moving images, of humans or cartoons in varying states of nudity, posing or performing erotic acts with men, women, animals or other props/objects.
Posting pornography (links or pictures) will not be tolerated and will be looked upon harshly. Posting something on the edge may only earn your post to be edited. Posting hardcore pornographic material (drawn or photo) will earn you an immediate perm ban.
Posting links to clothed persons is fine (Example: Victoria's Secret). If you feel your link/picture may not be suitable to post check with an Administrator or a Moderator of the forum you wish to post the link/picture in (See: Contact Information).
If you feel you have been wrongly banned under this rule contact an Administrator (See: Contact Information), contacting a Moderator will do you no good.
Lithium Skies Forum Warez Rules
For purposes of clarification the word "warez" will be defined here. This is the definition of "warez" used by the Lithium Skies Forums, and is not the "proper" definition elsewhere. This is the definition that applies on the Lithium Skies Forums:
WAREZ:
(n) /weirz/
1. A term used to describe a crack, keygen, game or application that is made available to the internet via telnet, FTP, or a peer to peer file sharing program.
2. A term used to describe copyrighted or bootlegged music that is made available to the internet via telnet, FTP, or a peer to peer file sharing program.
(v) /weirz/
1. The act of downloading warez (as defined in the noun form) Also: warezing /weirzing/
Posting the following will earn you a perm ban:
Posting how you specifically obtained warez will earn you a permanent ban (Ex: "I downloaded (insert program) from the internet" or "I copied the CD from a friend" ).
Posting links to any warez downloads. This includes hacker/cracker groups/sites and FTP's sharing warez files.
Posting instructions on use or providing support for any warezing programs, or links on where to download them.
Do not discuss leaked internal releases of any games/programs. Doing so will earn you a permanent ban.
Requesting warez in a manner that is specific. (example: Does anyone have a key for _____?)
Posting links to Shoutcast or internet radio (streaming media) is fine. Posting about means to make your own internet radio station is fine, posting methods for downloading the stream will, however, earn you a perm ban. As always use your best judgment before posting. If you have questions about the nature of the link you wish to post, contact a member of the moderation staff (See: Contact Information).
Please note that posting any of the above will be treated the same regardless of context. Being sarcastic/cynical does not excuse you to post any of the above and it will in no way get you out of a ban. Violation of the Warez rules will not be tolerated, and the excuse of "I was just kidding" will not get out out of a ban. This segment was recently added as some people seem to have been under the impression that joking around about theft is fine, this will not be tolerated.
Note that downloading and/or distributing commercially available music and/or other forms of digital entertainment is as a rule illegal, unless explicitly stated otherwise (for example: iTunes Music Store has less strict rules than you'll find on Audio CDs).
Lithium Skies are not responsible for its forumers' actions.

Lithium Skies Forum Registration Rules
Register only to join this forum. Registering in order to advertise your site will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal of the account.
This forum strictly upholds the one-account per person rule. Don't make multiple accounts. If you have problems with your account, notify an admin. If you are banned, do not re-register.
There are naming rules. Your name should not be offensive or misguiding.
If you are dissatisfied with your name, you can have it changed. You can go about this by posting here.
